She joined Quadrant Law Group in 2015. She provides support to clients reviewing, drafting and negotiating commercial contracts for consulting services, software licensing, telecommunications, data subscriptions, travel, workspaces, and real estate.

Prior to joining Quadrant Law Group, Jessica worked as an attorney for Spinnaker Law Group.

Jessica began her legal career at Sammons Financial Group, where she was Corporate Attorney and Assistant. She provided transactional, corporate, contract, regulatory, operational and litigation support to all divisions, departments and levels of management of SFG member companies. She was the legal team lead for several reinsurance financing transactions, negotiating favorable terms for SFG and ensuring that all regulatory and compliance requirements and filings were met.  She was responsible for all corporate regulatory filings for SFG insurance companies, from annual reports to acquisitions to dissolutions, where she helped to create the voluntary dissolution process with the Illinois Department of Insurance.

In addition, she served as the secretary of the Audit Committee, developed charters for individual board committees, and drafted board resolutions and secretary certifications. She established an internal third party contract tracking and review process and was rewarded with the responsibility of reviewing, revising and negotiating all third party contracts. She created and implemented standardized templates for a variety of contracts and processes, including non-disclosure agreements, liability waivers, guaranties and promissory notes, software licensing, insurance producer agreements, and human resources policies for telecommuting.  She also provided regular advice and support to the claims department on matters involving beneficiary eligibility, especially in cases involving marital dissolution or crime. She partnered with the tax department to provide advice on tax issues related to life insurance and annuity contracts and claims.

Prior to her legal career, Jessica worked in regulatory compliance for life, health and annuity insurance companies, where she medically underwrote a variety of medical and life insurance products, developed procedural guidelines and templates for the underwriting department and trained new underwriting staff.  She also drafted and revised insurance producer, employer, and administrative guidelines, and developed and maintained regulatory tracking systems to monitor applicable legislation and the company’s compliance implementation strategies.

Jessica is admitted to practice law in Illinois.  Jessica received her J.D. from DePaul University and B.A. in French from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Jessica resides in a suburb of Chicago with her husband, two teenage boys and two rescue cats.  When not annoying her children by speaking French or Italian, Jessica enjoys being outdoors, traveling with family and friends, photographing her younger son’s drumming or bass or vocal School of Rock performances, and cheering her baseball playing, pole vaulting older son to victory.
