Robert Ming

Managing Partner

Robert is our founding partner, former Managing Director and Associate General Counsel at Jefferies, and former Mayor of Laguna Niguel, California.  Robert structures and negotiates large technology transactions, supervises global procurement contract review and helps design contract repository and workflow management systems.  Robert has previously been general counsel for a B2B e-commerce procurement provider and began his career at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius in Los Angeles where he did securities work, private placements, broker-dealer regulatory work and intellectual property licensing.  Full Bio

Oksanna Malan

Managing Partner

Oksanna joined the firm shortly after its inception and has played a key role in its growth and development since its earliest stages.  Oksanna has over twenty years of experience in law and business, spanning in-house and ‘big law’ firm work, as well as strategy consulting and finance. Oksanna served as Associate General Counsel for Citigroup’s Global Wealth Management business. She assisted the General Counsel in managing a 500+ member legal department supporting global businesses in brokerage, investment advisory, private banking, retail banking, mortgage lending, and credit cards. She began her legal career at Cravath, Swaine & Moore, where she worked in both litigation and corporate law departments.  Oksanna was previously a consultant at McKinsey & Company where she led strategy projects for top management of Fortune 500 companies. Full Bio

David King

With over 17 years of experience representing public and private companies through large and small transactions, David brings a unique mix of corporate finance, governance and taxation, real estate and intellectual property experience. Formerly practicing law at both Wilson, Sonsini, Goodrich & Rosati, and at Sidley, Austin, Brown & Wood, David has represented underwriters and issuers in initial public offerings and negotiated and closed mergers & acquisitions for public and private companies. He has also practiced as a CPA and brings a rare financial acumen to his legal work.

Renate Harrison

Attorney

Renate brings over 15 years of experience advising on and executing complex transactions, including debt and equity finance, corporate law and commercial contracts.  She has ran her own successful firm for over 11 years, providing services between Canadian and U.S. companies.  Previous to starting her own firm Renate was Vice President and Counsel for MMA Financial.  Renate obtained her J.D. from Harvard Law School and her undergraduate degree from McGill University. Full Bio
